Postdoctoral Researcher
Project title: Metal-mediated catalysis in biological settings
PI: José Luis Mascareñas Cid
Starting date: October-2020

Requirements: • PhD in Biology or related area. Expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology and confocal microscopy.
• Excellent academic and scientific record, with some publications in top journals as main author.
• Previous background or training in chemistry, as well as in chemical biology will be particularly valued. International postdoctoral experience will be highly considered. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment is a must.
• Passion, initiative and team‐working ability. Strong commitment for scientific excellence in a highly competitive environment is a must.

Interdisciplinary project at the interphase between metallocatalysis and chemical biology

PhD candidate
Project title: Organometallic catalysis in biological settings
PI: José Luis Mascareñas Cid
Starting date: Between September and October, 2020

The candidate will apply for a scholarship (Galician, Spanish) and, in the interim period, the group will support him/her

Requirements: • Bachelor degree in Chemistry, and academic rank higher than 8 (over 10).
• Master in Chemistry (organic synthesis or chemical biology) already completed or to be completed during the current semester.
• We seek outstanding individuals with initiative, creativity and team‐working ability.
• Previous experience in research activities in organic synthesis, metal catalysis and/or chemical biology will be highly considered.
